VMI Sales Analyst

Provides analytic and sales support for Walmart and Sam’s Club utilizing the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) program.


  • Manage Walmart and Sam’s Club inventory utilizing the VMI program by creating orders to be shipped to Walmart/Sam’s distribution centers nationwide and monitoring inventory levels and replenishment needs.
  • Analyzes sales trends, marketing/promotional data to identify and report item growth and sales data to Sales and Marketing teams. Provides weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for new item tracking, sales vs forecasts, new store sales using Retail Link software and reporting tools, and other reports as needed.
  • Works with Sales and Trade Marketing managers on forecasting analysis for Walmart and Sam’s to insure appropriate inventory levels are placed in forward warehouses during key/critical sales/promotional periods.
  • Maintains critical service levels for order/line and case fill rates. Reviews and processes all orders within 24 hours of receipt.  Verifies items, quantities, pricing, and promotions to insure accurate invoicing.
  • Monitors new marketing programs including, but not limited to, new item rollouts. Monitors the ordering of product and works with Sales Support, Sales and Distribution to insure product is shipped in accordance with roll out plan. Works closely with Walmart/Sam’s replenishment managers, sales, marketing and distribution to manage any customer exception programs.
  • Participates within the Sales Support business unit in all aspects of customer service and distribution assuring total customer satisfaction including but not limited to billing, inventory management, transportation, warehousing, credit and sales forecasts.
  • Other duties as assigned.



  • Prior experience managing customer shipments, pricing and invoicing resolution. 
  • Experience working cross functionally with transportation, marketing, sales, operations and finance to resolve and achieve on time in full delivery requirements. 
  • Strong communication skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree or some college preferred.


  • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones, and utilize a variety of office equipment. Ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. and reach overhead.


  • Domestic travel required.  Approx 10% for mandatory VMI training in Bentonville, AR as needed.
