Overview

The primary responsibility for this job function is to dump and stack frozen fruit product and to perform cleanup tasks, as needed

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance to their   intended use and safe for human consumption
  • Responsible for the operation of the dumping/stacking station when relieving this position and to insure product meets or exceeds specification
  • Will make card board boxes manually and pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes
  • Follow all SOP’s (standard operating procedures) for the operation of the equipment
  • Follow all GMP’s (good manufacturing practices) and HACCP (hazard analysis critical control points) set forth by the company
  • Must have excellent communication skills with line supervisor and production team members
  • Responsible for cleanliness of areas of responsibilities at all times
  • Maybe required to perform other functions within the scope of the production room if the need arises
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any mechanical or material issues/quality issues so appropriate corrective action is taken

Qualifications

  • Must be able to take orders and follow directions
  • Must be able to work any shift including weekends
  • Must be able to lift up to 44 pounds
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a teamwork environment
  • Must be able to work in extreme cold temperatures
  • Prior working experience in a Food Manufacturing setting required
  • Prior working experience in the Consumer Pack Department a plus
  • Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
