Overview

Primarily 2ND SHIFT - Any shift, any day of the week as assigned. Overtime as needed.

 

Will be putting finished product away, take product to get reworked, dumpped and load as needed from warehouse. Properly stack full pallets/racks on top of each other, up to three high, and other related duties. Will need to have inventory control knowledge, i.e. lot numbers, day codes, tag numbers etc.

 

                                

Responsibilities

 

Must follow RF practices and procedures which include the following:

 

Scanning Basic:

  • Always drive with the Handheld Scanner stored
  • Read the information on the screen while stopped
  • Point the laser (scanner) at the sign or label
  • When the beam is on the barcode, release the trigger to scan a “positive” beep will be heard
  • Try scanning at a slight angle when needed. Sometimes scanning straight a the label will not work as well
  • Safety:
  • Never point the laser at another person or yourself
  • Never point the laser at someone’s eyes  

Guidelines:

 

  • Do not give your login and password to another person
  • Do not allow another lift operator or person to user your equipment as long as are still logged on, always logoff.
  • Submit a request to IT to create a login access to an RF or PC
  • Do not attempt to remove components from the forklift
  • Completely logoff system if not using the RF equipment
  • Check RF equipment and forklift before staring shift. If you notice anything unusual report it immediately an do not use the equipment

Training:

  • Navigation of RF equipment (vehicle mounts and/or hand-held)
  • Receiving and put away functions
  • Picking and loading functions
  •  Must maintain good attendance record
  • Must be able to follow instructions from Team Leaders and Supervisors
  • Must be able to transfer pallets into new locations and place them in the proper location
  • Must learn freezer layout (row locations and transfer location)
  • Follow company policies.
  • Follow safety procedures.

 

Work Environment:

  • Frozen storage 0º and below (-20ºF)

  • Industrial plant environment, with related noise and temperature

  

Physical Requirements 

  • Must be able to get up and down from Forklift
  • Must be able to lift 60 pounds
  • Must be able to stoop, stand, reach and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting and other physical movements to perform job.
  • Other duties that are reasonable associated with the above essential functions of the job.

 

Qualifications


  • Must learn and apply the new RF device system (Zebra)

 

  • Must be able to work with other employees, departments and Supervisors
  • Must be willing to work weekends and overtime as needed
  • Must maintain a high quality and production standards
  • Must be able to pass  a driving test
  • Must be able to operate a forklift
  • Must be able to work in extreme cold temperatures
  • Must be able to follow orders and instructions
  • 2 years driving forklift and stacking experience preferred
  • Must safely operate forklift inside freezers
  • Must be forklift operator certified
