  • Overview

    Ensure proper operation of all equipment,  soaktanks, and IQF units of within the fresh manufacturing plants to obtain optimum production and produce quality products.

    Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

    Primary Duties:

    • Set up, start up and shut down all aspects of the freezer unit area equipment
    • Monitor and make adjustments necessary on running of freezer units
    • Communicate with supervisors and refrigeration personnel
    • Must maintain high quality and production standards

    Secondary Duties:

    • Make up and maintain soak tank solution
    • Set up and maintain the blancher (water level, speed and temperature)
    • Take and record soak tank temperatures
    • Check with IQF Packaging Control on temperatures of frozen product
    • Keep area clean and organized at all times
    • Add and mix chemicals
    • Follow company policies
    • Follow safety procedures
    • Follow food safety programs
    • Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job
    • Will work in Production (Brackets depending on employment status) according to seniority number, at that pay rate, when not in specialty job

     

    Qualifications

    • Must be able to work in extreme cold environment (-40°) inside of IQF Units when required to go inside units.
    • Must be able to read and identify chemicals
    • Basic math skills
    • Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
