  • Overview

    The Project Manager for Dole Packaged Foods will be responsible for all technical (non-IT) activities related to the renovation of existing items and the development of new packaged and frozen fruit products, with the major objective of launching products efficiently and in a timely manner.


    • Manage and communicate project status via timeline management.
    • Work closely with the Sr. Applied Technology Manager to develop, evaluate, and test products. Provide key direction to deliver on Marketing and Consumer/Customer expectations for product experience and quality.
    • Work closely with the Packaging Engineering Manager to design and test structural packaging components that will maintain integrity throughout the Supply Chain while meeting Consumer needs. Provide guidance to deliver on Marketing, Sales, and Consumer/Customer expectations for packaging reliability and quality.
    • Develop understanding of Contract Manufacturing Process and complete analyses to confirm if warranted.
    • Provide COGs for all projects.
    • Attend manufacturing trials and provide guidance on formulation and/or process changes.
    • Provide commercialization support as necessary.
    • Support the Marketing Team in all consumer research efforts.
    • Identify and implement cost savings projects.
    • Promote and optimize the New Product Process.
    • Build/maintain strong working relationships.
    • Communicate effectively with all Team members.
    • Other duties as assigned 



    • Minimum 3-5 years total experience in Project Management and/or similar roles.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Basic knowledge of Finance and COGs development.
    • Basic understanding of:
      • Product development (formulating, ingredient selection, stability testing, etc.).
      • Packaging development (design, testing, etc.).
      • Process development (manufacturing capabilities/technologies, equipment selection, contract manufacturing).


    • Relationships – Team environment.
    • Productivity – Time management, meeting deadlines.
    • Project Management – Prioritizes tasks.
    • Communication – Verbal, written, customer service.
    • Leadership – Identifies realistic solutions, solves issues efficiently/timely.


    • Bachelor's degree


    • Ability to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and utilize a variety of office equipment.
    • Ability to lift a minimum of 15 pounds and reach overhead.


    • Business travel 20% or more, domestic and international
