  • Overview

    Insure proper flow of product through processing lines, as directed, to facilitate safe, proper processing of quality products at efficient costs

    Responsibilities

    • Assist Production Supervisor, Team Leaders, Packaging Control and Lab in proper processing and packaging of products in packaging, IQF units and final inspection areas.
    • Control and adjust belt speeds, shakers and roller sizers.
    • Adjust and insure proper use of scales, tape machines and case erector when  applicable.
    • Monitor proper operations for slicers, dicers and strip-cutters.
    • Monitor proper installation and use of scales, tape machines and case sealers.
    • Replace Operators and Product Handlers as directed by Supervisors or Team Leaders.
    • Monitor metal detectors.
    • Train Product Handlers in GMP’s rules and regulations. 
    • Assist in training and orientation of Product Handlers new to packaging and IQF areas and its production methods.
    • Be properly organized to handle line or machine malfunctions.
    • Maintain neat and safe work areas for personnel and equipment at all times.
    • Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
    • Follow company policies.
    • Follow safety procedures.
    • Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job.
    • Will work in Production (Bracket IX or X depending on employment status) according to seniority number, at that pay rate, when not scheduled in specialty job.
