This new position is designed to support the company’s transformation into a purpose-led, consumer-driven organization.  We’re looking for a boundary pushing, experienced marketing communications leader.

This role will drive the creation and implementation of key brand building frameworks across marketing platforms, activate consumer-facing programs to drive new business growth opportunities, and help strengthen the relationships and interactivity of brand-based marketing teams across Dole Packaged Foods worldwide. This role will also play a key role in helping to build our digital technology driving stronger collaboration, leveraging synergies, and evolving marketing platforms.  It will also focus on improving engagement with consumers (rooted in deep insights) to excite them to purchase and repurchase our products.

This role works closely with global category innovation leaders, aligning on new product marketing strategy and delivering communications toolkits at launch.


  • Leads North American digital brand communications, working with the business management leads to create purpose-led marketing strategy and deliver outstanding creative execution across platforms. 
  • Supports Global Innovation teams to create and launch toolkits for new products.   
  • Leads the development and execution of digital marketing including search, social media, blogs, influencers, and broadcast.
  • Works with business management leads to set up measurement and optimization of all communications programs to drive efficiency and revenue growth
  • Serves as brand steward ensuring all consumer communications are consistent with brand purpose and corporate priorities and guardrails
  • Manages relationships with all consumer communication stakeholders (senior leadership, business management, innovation, insights, sales), as well as day-to-day relationships with agencies to oversee execution of tactical plans
  • Supports new product launches ensuring consistency with brand strategy and product positioning.
  • Works with consumer insights to develop a deep understanding of our target consumer and has the ability to draw insightful conclusions which translate into effective programs
  • Provides thought leadership, best practices and innovative guidance in all areas of digital including analytics, site tagging, events, CRM, social and digital media
  • Manages staff of 1-2, with a dotted line relationship to 3-4 others
  • Other duties as assigned


Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

  • 8+ years leading integrated marketing communications for a brand (preference to consumer packaged goods space)
  • Experience in a high-growth and fast-paced environment a plus
  • Experience connecting business strategy and communication strategy; experience in purpose-driven marketing strongly desired
  • Ability to balance multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
  • Proven track record of designing and managing comprehensive marketing programs that mapped to core objectives
  • Proven experience with direct to consumer digital marketing
  • Analytics experience, ability to determine program ROI and pivot based on results
  • Experience collaborating with external creative and media agencies
  • Proficient at necessary office tools:  Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Virtual Collaboration tools

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • 15% domestic travel, occasional international travel may be required
