Temp Transportation Assistant

This temporary position will work with the International Transportation Analyst/Specialist to support day-to-day tracking, reporting, and SAP updates.


Primary Accountabilities:

  • Shipments - Monitoring and Updating
    • Monitor emails for any changes to Dole shipments: drayman change, route change and update SAP as needed.
    • Support Intl. Analyst/Specialist on daily shipment tracking, reporting on issues and demurrage/detention, generating reports as needed.
    • Occasionally, if service type/route is incorrect then each shipment must be updated in SAP upon confirmation.
    • Run reports to monitor missing rates and update SAP to avoid missing accruals.
  • Warehouse Tracking Reports (Past Due/Volumes)
    • Run weekly reports for In-Transit for the major warehouses and report detail and distribute to warehouse, internal staff, and draymen.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Support Intl. Transportation area, as needed.
    • Other duties, as assigned.


Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:

  • Strong knowledge and comfortability with Excel
  • SAP experience is preferable
  • Basic understanding of logistics operations
  • Strong analytical ability

  • Flexible and willing to put in extra effort and time as required.

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Any supply chain education or qualification, such as APICS is preferred.
  • Language Fluency: English; other languages are a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.
