The Demand Planning Analyst is accountable for demand forecasting activities for Dole channels, customers, and products. Incorporating internal and external demand drivers – creating and maintaining forecast models, incorporating, but not limited to: Sales, Marketing, Business, Category, Route to Market, Competitor and forecast information gathered from internal and external resources.


This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office.


Primary Accountabilities:

  • Develop demand forecasts across the planning horizon.
  • Develop and operate appropriate forecasting models for each of the customers/channels.
  • Use of historical sales trends, research demand drivers.
  • Apply appropriate and agreed cannibalization in the forecast between, for example, baseline and activities.
  • Challenge the data and organizational thinking appropriately.
  • Develop appropriate heuristics/ rules of thumb that aid demand planning.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:                                                        

  • High-Intermediate to Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Strong spreadsheet abilities are important.
  • Statistics and data management.
  • Demonstrated business and analytical skills.

Education & Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Prior Demand Planning experience is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required.
