We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Human Resources Generalist with experience managing a wide range of HR functions. This role will focus on supporting critical operational areas such as policy administration, compliance, leave management, talent acquisition, and temporary staffing. The ideal candidate will excel at managing processes, ensuring data accuracy, and providing exceptional employee support.

 

This role works on-site at our Westlake Village, CA U.S. headquarters office, with occasional work from home days as the schedule allows.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and provide support as needed.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and labor postings to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Support coordination of compliance training for employees and managers on workplace policies, safety, and anti-discrimination practices.
  • Support the planning and implementation of Affirmative Action Programs and ensure adherence to regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required federal and state reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager and third party provider to administer and track employee leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and state-specific leave laws.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on LOA policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and organize employee records and ensure compliance with data retention policies.
  • Oversee new hire paperwork and onboarding processes (company swag, IT set up, etc.), ensuring a positive employee experience.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee data across HR systems and databases.
  • Conduct regular audits to maintain consistency and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support immigration processes, including visa applications, renewals, and compliance with immigration laws.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment for assigned full-time and temporary roles, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, coordinate participation in job fairs, and scheduling and conducting interviews.
  • Manage relationships with staffing agencies and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective temporary staffing solutions.
  • Oversees coordination of various company benefits, such as gift matching and tuition reimbursement
  • Manage employment verification requests and respond to unemployment claims.
  • Compile and analyze data to report meaningful HR metrics
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:                                          

  • 4-6 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist or related role, including experience in talent acquisition/temporary staffing
  • Strong knowledge of HR compliance requirements in California
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data management, with a focus on accuracy and integrity

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • HR certification (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $80,000 to $95,000

The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location. Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
