The position is focused on delivering key financial metrics including net sales, profit, and share objectives across retail customers by providing timely and robust financial analysis, control and compliance support, and effective business planning. The position informs and influences business decisions, particularly focused on commercial investment opportunities, business planning, and innovation. The position supports organization goals through the development and execution of effective and efficient business plans, detailed financial analysis and reporting.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

• Key point of contact for all commercial finance reporting. Update, verify and publish reports with commentaries.
• Support Trade systems activities. Creation and publication of price lists for all US channels, including Private Label.
• Reconcile transactions from the previous period and send them to A/P for payment.
• Support Brokers with inquiries.
• Support commercial finance activities i.e., Trade system management, innovation P&Ls, Month-end, forecast, reporting, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Build strong relationships with the commercial teams and create a strategic partnership to identify and monitor key performance indicators and develop actionable insights
• Understand and interpret business results through P&L analysis, trends, variation, mix, and various ad-hoc analyses and communicate those findings and make recommendations effectively
• Support cross-functional teams to develop customer and product P&Ls, along with tracking performance.
• Support all month-end and forecast activities.
• Develop high-quality content – including PowerPoint decks and SAC dashboards to support executive communication and decision-making
• Reconcile the reports and follow up on variances during the month end.
• Load, review, and reconcile forecast data to ensure alignment with actuals and business expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful project execution
• Support the preparation and review of quarterly and periodic financial performance reports.
• Ensure proper maintenance of financial files and trackers.
• Ad hoc request as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:       

• 4-6 years of experience in corporate finance and/or business analysis (Preferably in Commercial Finance)
• Strong knowledge of sales and marketing fundamentals and trade investment experience.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
• Consumer product goods (CPG) industry experience preferred.
• Experience with SAP, SAC, Business Objects, Hyperion and TPM
• Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize tools and processes for continuous improvement.
• Ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or other discipline that requires quantitative knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

• Minimal travel expected (~5%)

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $90,000 to $110,000
