The Associate Business (Brand) Manager will be an integral member of the Dole team and a key contributor to the category’s overall strategy, annual business plans, holistic communication plans, innovation product launches and brand executions across all media and consumer touch points.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with your category leader (Brand Manager, Director) to create short and long-term category objectives and strategies and lead the execution of category plans and tactics to deliver against business objectives.
  • Work with the Comms team to manage marketing communications, including but not limited to development of creative communications briefs, creative evaluation, and measurement.
  • Help lead the development and execution of integrated communication plans, This will consist of working with media, digital and shopper marketing agencies facilitating the development of creative communications briefs, creative evaluation, and measurement.
  • Partner with Market Research in the development of appropriate consumer research to identify consumer insights that will grow the portfolio.
  • Utilize multiple tools/dashboards to analyze and track shipment trends, consumption trends, competitive activity and other market trends to provide up-to-date information that drives management decisions based on insights.
  • Present monthly analysis to leadership, providing actionable insights based on IRI and internal data.
  • Collaborate with internal multi-discipline functions, including Innovation, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations, to develop strategies and plans that drive growth, deliver objectives and resolve issues.
  • Manage and track marketing budget.
  • Develop and update packaging for new and existing products.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and perform other duties as needed to support the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:       

  • General consumer products industry knowledge.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ business or consumer goods experience is required with demonstrated ability to support key organizational initiatives at a consumer-centric organization.
  • Understanding of media and technology trends and digital marketing experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills; syndicated data experience a plus (IRI/Nielsen). Problem solving and business evaluation. Comfortable understanding data and insights from different sources and turning them into actionable recommendations.
  • Project Management:  Leading cross-functional teams and external agencies in driving projects to completion within required time frame.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite with exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Passion for the consumer.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with all internal multi-discipline functional areas and levels of management.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize and effectively manage workloads in a fast-pace and highly dynamic environment.
  • Results Oriented: Driven and self-motivated to deliver results with a bias toward action.
  • Accountable: Ability to take full ownership of projects, timelines and deliverables.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel required.

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $90,000 to $110,000

Dole Packaged Foods is committed to paying our Associates fairly and equitably. The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location. Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
