The Director of the Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE) will provide strategic leadership across key marketing support functions—Shopper Marketing, Digital/Media, Creative, and PR/Communications—and work in close partnership with the Brand team to execute integrated marketing campaigns that align with the brand’s strategic vision. This senior leadership role will be responsible for ensuring that the CoE collaborates seamlessly with agencies to develop high-quality marketing assets, launch impactful campaigns, and measure performance to continuously optimize and refine strategies. The Director will play a critical role in ensuring the marketing efforts are data-driven, aligned with business objectives, and strategically positioned to maximize brand growth.

 

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Integration:
    • Lead the overall strategy for the Marketing Center of Excellence, ensuring all teams (Shopper Marketing, Digital/Media, Creative, and PR/Communications) operate cohesively to support the brand’s objectives.
    • Ensure that all marketing activations across teams align with business and brand goals, providing a clear direction and maximizing the impact of campaigns.
    • Collaborate with the Brand team to translate high-level strategic goals and campaign briefs into a cohesive marketing approach that integrates all CoE functions.
    • Act as the key liaison between marketing functions and senior leadership, providing insight and strategic recommendations to support business growth.
    • Oversee the alignment of marketing goals and initiatives with sales targets, ensuring a unified approach to market execution.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Manage and mentor the team leaders of Shopper Marketing, Digital/Media, Creative, and PR/Communications, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee the professional development of each team, ensuring alignment with both functional and career growth objectives.
    • Create clear frameworks for cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that each team supports the overarching marketing strategy.
  • Agency & Vendor Management:
    • Manage the external IAT agency, providing strategic direction and ensuring that the agency delivers high-quality, innovative, and on-time outputs aligned with brand goals.
    • Establish strategic partnerships with agencies, ensuring that all marketing assets developed align with the strategic direction and brand standards.
    • Oversee relationships with external agencies and vendors supporting digital marketing, creative development, PR, and shopper marketing, ensuring they meet deadlines and stay within budget.
  • Marketing Activation & Execution:
    • Guide the creation of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring that all initiatives are strategically aligned and executed with precision across digital, media, shopper, and PR channels.
    • Oversee the execution of integrated marketing campaigns, ensuring that each campaign is tailored to the respective consumer touchpoints and channels.
    • Collaborate closely with Brand Marketing, Sales, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to marketing execution.
    • Develop frameworks to integrate campaign insights and results across various teams, ensuring that marketing initiatives support both short-term business needs and long-term brand growth.
    • Guide the development and execution of cause marketing initiatives and experiential marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and foster long-term community relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:                                          

  • 10+ years of experience in senior integrated marketing leadership roles, with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic campaigns that drive brand growth.
  • Strong experience in leading cross-functional collaboration and managing relationships with external agencies, with an ability to guide and influence teams to align with the broader brand strategy.
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing, including performance measurement, ROI analysis, and the development of optimization strategies to drive business growth.
  • Proven success in multi-functional leadership, with the ability to integrate efforts across marketing, sales, product development, and other key business functions.
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams, with the ability to lead diverse groups, ensure strategic alignment, and drive performance against business objectives.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • 10-20% travel expected

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $175,000 to $215,000

The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location. Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
