Purpose:

Responsible for the Maintenance/Groundskeeper, smocks distribution as needed.  Maintain stock room for all cleaning supplies and PPE (personal protective equipment).

Primary Accountabilities:

• Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety
• Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance to their intended use and safe for human consumption.
• Responsible for cleaning/organizing the stock room.
• Responsible to maintain the sweeper.
• Responsible for informing supervisor of any unsanitary areas or any equipment in need of repair.
• Responsible for obeying all safety, health, sanitation, and Plant rules, policies, and procedures.
• Responsible for following procedure by wearing gloves while performing cleaning duties.
• Responsible for distribution of ice water to all working areas.
• Responsible for keeping smoking designated are clean at all times.
• Responsible for keeping the parking lots and gutters clean at all times.
• Distribution of janitorial supplies in the stock rooms.
• Responsible for keeping all grounds clean, pick up trash around the company pull weeds, etc.
• Responsible for obeying the rule of never mixing cleaning chemicals.
• Responsible for maintaining high quality sanitation standards.
• Responsible for completing necessary paperwork.
• Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job.

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:                                            

• Must be able to identify cleaning products
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have Forklift Experience (For Smock Inventory Supply position)
• Must pass Forklift Evaluation (For Smock Inventory Supply position)
• Must be able to operate the Company’s sweeper & golf cart
• Prior working experience in a Food Manufacturing setting preferred
• Must be able to communicate with other employees, supervisors, and
•  
• Must be reliable and work any shift, overtime as required to get tasks done
• Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Education & Certification:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to pass job specific Physical Ability Test (PAT)
• Noise produced by manufacturing machinery up to 92 decibels
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold)
• Required to work outside for up to 95% of the work day
• Required to use tools related to landscaping, i.e. shovel, scraper, brooms
• Must be able to use equipment associated with the job, i.e. forklift, sweeper, & golf cart
• Must be able to climb stairs up to 20ft daily
• Must be able to do repetitive movements of bending, reaching up to 24” overhead and forward up to 24”, squatting, and pushing & pulling an average weight of 35 lbs.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time on tile, concrete and/or metal grating
• Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting and other physical movements to perform job
• Flexibility to work different shifts and days when required

Work Environment:

• Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures. Will occasionally be required to work outside in all types of weather.
