The Associate Brand Manager will be an integral member of the team and a key contributor to the assigned category’s strategy, business planning, new product development, and integrated marketing efforts across all media and consumer touch points.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

  • Brand Planning & Strategy:
    • Collaborate with your category leader to shape short- and long-term category strategies; Coordinate the execution of corresponding plans and tactics
  • Market & Competitive Analysis
    • Analyze consumer trends, category dynamics, and competitive activity to uncover business insights
    • Leverage internal and syndicated sales data to identify actionable insights and provide regular updates to manager
  • New Product Development
    • Support innovation initiatives from concept to commercialization, including the development of positioning, packaging, and pricing recommendations
    • Partner with the Consumer Insights team to develop and execute learning plans
    • Collaborate cross-functionally (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Product Development) to deliver projects on-time and on-budget
  • Profitability & Budget Management
    • Contribute to business cases through forecasting, pricing, and P&L modeling
    • Manage track brand budgets to ensure effective resource allocation
  • Media & Communications
    • Support the development and execution of integrated marketing plans in partnership with the Communications team and external agencies
    • Draft creative briefs, guide execution, and evaluate performance across media, digital and shopper channels
  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting
    • Track brand and product performance, identifying optimization opportunities based on data and insights
    • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on brand and product performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and key learnings
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:       

  • Minimum of 2 years’ consumer goods experience is required, ideally in a consumer-centric, innovation-driven organization
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and timelines
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; syndicated data experience a plus (Circana/Nielsen)
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Passion for consumer-led innovation and the food/beverage space
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite with exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA or equivalent experience strongly preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel required

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $90,000 to $110,000

Dole Packaged Foods is committed to paying our Associates fairly and equitably. The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location. Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
