The Senior Manager of Supply Planning will lead a team dedicated to ensuring product availability by translating demand forecasts into executable production, procurement, and inventory plans. This role is crucial in balancing service, cost, and inventory targets while collaborating with co-packers, manufacturing, procurement, and logistics. This position will also play a key role in scenario planning and risk mitigation to support responsive and resilient operations.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

  • Learn & embrace company values and serve as a value ambassador across all company functions
  • Provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to current team of supply planning professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Runs the aggregate, Packaged volume supply planning and control process for the company while directing the flow of information from the Product, Demand, and Supply reviews to the proper cross functional recipients
  • Develop a working knowledge of the company’s products and processes to ensure optimal master shipping plan stability, order creation, rescheduling, load-leveling, etc…
  • Create a master shipping plan (MSP) that satisfies customer demand with optimum inventory levels and resource utilization, as dictated by company policy; as well as being used for detailed material, capacity and financial planning.
  • Establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track supply chain performance and ensure continuous improvement, reporting findings to senior leadership
  • Act as Supply Planning SME and participate in cross functional development of new items
  • Challenges manufacturing strategies on a continuous basis to ensure that the company is meeting customer demand in the most efficient and cost-effective manner
  • Advise Demand Planning & Sales Support regarding changes in plant capabilities and frozen time fences particularly as they may affect the ability to satisfy customers
  • Develop/maintain Planning parameters/strategies, such as lead times, lot sizes, safety stocks, delivery times, and supporting data for all shipped items
  • Utilize scenario planning and risk management to proactively model supply constraints, seasonal disruptions, or upstream risks followed by development of mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply
  • Support current S&OP process while simultaneously contributing to designing and implementing more robust/cross functional, Integrated Business Planning processes to support leadership decision-making during monthly review cycles
  • Drive continuous improvement projects in supply planning based on industry benchmarking, best practice and innovation to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Interface with other departments (PDI, Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Warehousing, etc…) in attempt of solving problems regarding product/quality availability to ensure continuity of supply
  • Act as an internal educator and consultant on supply planning strategies, providing education and training throughout the company to improve company-wide understanding of supply management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 5-7+ years of experience in supply planning, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in managing the entire supply chain process, including capacity planning, demand forecasting, and supply execution
  • Knowledge, understanding and development of S&OP and/or Integrated Business Planning processes
  • Ability to evaluate supply plans financially in conjunction with finance teams, ensuring alignment with operational targets and budgets
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficient in supply chain planning software, particularly SAP and Blue Yonder.

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • APICS certifications desired

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.

Travel Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:

Hiring Pay Scale: $145,000 to $165,000

The pay rate offered will consider a wide range of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, accomplishments, and location. Pay scales are subject to review on a regular basis and will be updated as appropriate.
