Purpose:

Supervises Janitor/Housekeepers, and laundry employees in a Manufacturing environment: Insure safe, proper processing procedures by employees and efficient production of quality product through communication from supervisors, and managers

Primary Accountabilities:

• Responsible to comply with all Quality and Food Safety Management standards and/or systems to ensure continual improvement and effectiveness of the Food Safety Management System with the ability to satisfy our customers and provide products that are in accordance to their intended use and safe for human consumption.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the stockroom
• Responsible for ordering and managing PPE supplies
• Responsible for informing supervisor of any unsanitary areas or any equipment in need of repair
• Responsible for obeying all safety, health, sanitation, and Plant rules, policies, and procedures
• Responsible for following procedure by wearing gloves while performing cleaning duties
• Distribute janitorial supplies to designated stockrooms
• Responsible for obeying the rule of never mixing cleaning chemicals
• Responsible for maintaining high quality sanitation standards
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time
• Follow proper procedures for handling bloodborne pathogens
• Administer alchemy training to employees
• Create and manage team member schedules
• Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:                                            

• Ability to identify and distinguish various cleaning products
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be reliable and work any shift, overtime as required to get tasks done
• Prior working experience in a Food Manufacturing setting preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with employees, supervisors, and maintenance staff
• Must be able to effectively lead others
• Ability to both give and follow instructions
• Capable of teaching and training employees in their respective roles
• Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
• Supervisory experience preferred

Education & Certification:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred

Supervisory Duties:

• Responsible for maintaining all areas with the necessary PPE supplies.
• Supervise Janitor/Housekeeping personnel as needed

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to lift 35 pounds
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures (hot and cold) in cleaning room
• The role involves climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements necessary to perform job tasks.

Work Environment:

• Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures.
• Will occasionally be required to work outside in all types of weather.
