Insure proper operation of soak tanks, IQF equipment and units to obtain optimum production of quality products in Plant I & Plant II.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Set up, start up and shut down all aspects of the freezer IQF units
• Monitor and make adjustments necessary on running of freezer units
• Communicate with Area Supervisors, Refrigeration, Maintenance and Electricians as needed
• Must maintain high quality and production standards
• Make up and maintain soak tank solution
• Set up and maintain the blancher (water level, speed and temperature)
• Record and document soak tank temperatures
• Verify with Packaging Control Technicians that IQF temperatures of frozen product are within acceptable ranges
• Keep area clean and organized at all times
• Add and mix chemicals
• Follow company policies
• Follow safety procedures
• Follow food safety programs
• Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job
• Will work in Production (Bracket IX or X depending on employment status) according to seniority number, at that pay rate, when not in specialty job

Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring:                                            

• Must be able to work in extreme cold environment (-40°) inside of the IQF Units when required to go inside units.
• Must be able to read and identify chemicals
• Mathematical aptitude for batching ratios
• Reliable attendance is an essential function of the job

Education & Certification:

• Highschool diploma Or Equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to lift 60 pounds
• Requires climbing, standing, stooping, twisting, lifting, and other physical movements to perform job
• Industrial plant environment with related noise and temperatures
• Will be exposed to cold temperatures. The area is noisy and operators will be required to wear the suits provided
