The Director drives a culture of accountability, collaboration, data-driven decision making, and operational excellence across the supply chain network.

The Director plays a pivotal enterprise role by connecting cross-functional efforts across Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Customer Supply Chain to ensure seamless end-to-end supply chain integration.

This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).

Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities:

Strategic Planning

  • Set and align the strategic vision for North America Supply Chain with enterprise objectives, long-range targets, and operating model priorities.
  • Own the annual strategic planning process, governance model, and cadence across all Supply Chain functions, ensuring cross-functional alignment and executive buy-in.
  • Drive scenario planning and decision-support frameworks that enable leadership to evaluate trade-offs in cost, service, and capital investment.
  • Translate enterprise strategy into actionable multi-year Supply Chain roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, and success metrics.
  • Lead quarterly strategy reviews and executive-level reporting to measure progress and recalibrate priorities.

Project Management

  • Establish and manage a robust Supply Chain project management framework to govern, track, and report on key Supply Chain initiatives across functions and geographies.
  • Provide oversight and accountability for major cross-functional programs, including operating model implementation, network redesign, system deployments, and transformation projects.
  • Define project charters, resource requirements, milestone timelines, risk registers, and benefits realization plans for all strategic Supply Chain programs.
  • Coordinate with executive stakeholders and functional leaders to ensure milestones, budgets, and outcomes are achieved on time and within scope.
  • Implement structured stage-gate governance processes that create rigor, transparency, and predictable delivery across the project portfolio.

Analytics & Performance Management

  • Oversee the design and execution of advanced analytics, dashboards, and performance scorecards that drive improvement in service levels, inventory turns, transportation cost, manufacturing run efficiency, and customer fill rates.
  • Champion data standards, central system governance, and a single source of truth across the supply chain data ecosystem.
  • Build and maintain a comprehensive Supply Chain KPI framework; lead monthly and quarterly performance reviews with leadership and functional teams.
  • Leverage predictive analytics and demand signals to proactively identify supply risk, capacity constraints, and service failure points before they occur.
  • Coach functional teams on data literacy, analytical tools, and insights-driven decision making to elevate the overall analytics capability of the organization.

Information Technology

  • Partner with IT and Digital to modernize supply chain data platforms, planning tools, and execution systems to enable real-time visibility and integrated decision support.
  • Lead the supply chain technology roadmap, including ERP enhancements and AI application.
  • Define business requirements and serve as the Supply Chain business owner for major technology implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Evaluate emerging supply chain technologies — including AI, machine learning, and automation — and lead pilots that deliver measurable operational value.
  • Ensure data governance, system reliability, and change management practices are embedded into all technology rollout plans.

Benchmarking

  • Lead ongoing internal and external benchmarking of supply chain capabilities, costs, service performance, and operating practices against industry peers and best-in-class CPG companies.
  • Ensure benchmarking insights are visible, well understood, and actively used to prioritize improvement initiatives and set aspirational performance targets.
  • Maintain relationships with industry associations, third-party benchmarking providers, and advisory networks to access current market data and emerging practices.
  • Build a structured benchmarking cadence that feeds the annual strategic planning cycle and informs leadership decision making.
  • Translate external benchmarks into actionable recommendations and business cases that align with enterprise investment priorities.

Transformation

  • Lead large-scale supply chain transformation initiatives, including network optimization, operating model redesign, and organizational capability building across the North America enterprise.
  • Act as a visible change agent who communicates clearly, reduces resistance, and builds alignment at all levels of the organization during periods of significant change.
  • Develop and execute change management plans, stakeholder engagement strategies, and communication frameworks to ensure successful adoption of new processes, tools, and structures.
  • Drive productivity and cost optimization initiatives across warehousing, transportation, manufacturing, planning and customer supply chain through structured CI methodologies (e.g., Lean, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Establish benefits realization tracking to validate that transformation investments deliver the projected financial and operational outcomes.

End-to-End Supply Chain Integration

  • Own the governance and integration framework that connects Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Commercial functions into a unified, end-to-end operating model.
  • Ensure the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, cadence, and governance across Demand, Supply, Finance, and Commercial is fully aligned to our strategic volume, capacity, inventory, and financial commitments.
  • Break down functional silos by establishing cross-functional operating rhythms, shared KPIs, and collaborative problem-solving forums.
  • Drive end-to-end supply chain visibility by connecting upstream supply and production signals to downstream fulfillment and customer service outcomes.
  • Ensure supplier performance, contract manufacturing partnerships, and 3PL relationships are integrated into the end-to-end supply chain strategy and performance management framework.
  • Other duties as assigned
